William H. Stewart

Bill joined Vuono & Gray on a full-time basis in September 2008 and was the senior associate with the firm from 2013 through 2019. He became a Member in 2020. He is primarily a transactional attorney, with a practice focused on corporate business transactions, commercial real estate transactions, and transportation law. Bill represents corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and individuals in the acquisition and disposition of business enterprises, commercial loan transactions, and the purchase, sale and leasing of commercial real estate. His real estate practice includes the representation of property owners in real estate assessment appeals before the Allegheny County Board of Property Assessment Appeals and Review and the Board of Viewers of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Bill’s transportation practice includes assisting clients with obtaining various types of interstate and intrastate operating authorities from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, respectively, as well as compliance with federal and state laws. Bill also has significant civil litigation experience, having represented clients in a wide range of commercial disputes in state and federal court, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and appellate litigation, where he has argued before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. As a litigator, Bill has also successfully tried cases in Allegheny County and Westmoreland County. Bill is an avid sports fan and former college athlete who enjoys participating in the Allegheny County Bar Association softball and soccer leagues.
